Join the Crew

Everyone is called to make a difference for Christ, but some are set apart to take advantage of the season when they are young, single, and available. BASIC is looking for dedicated interns and full-time staff devoted to one thing: making disciples on college campuses.

Is this for me?

If you’re looking for a cushy job with great benefits, then working with BASIC probably isn’t for you. But if you want to work with an ambitious team to make a difference for Christ on our college campuses, joining the BASIC team can be one of the most rewarding, exciting experiences of your life.

There is no greater feeling in the world than praying with a hurting freshman to receive salvation or to see friends grow to new levels in their relationships with God at a BASIC conference. By joining the BASIC crew, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact with a minimum commitment of only 2 semesters.

We're looking for individuals:

  • enjoying a living and growing relationship with Jesus
  • desiring to be used by God to change people's lives
  • willing to relocate where God needs them
  • at least 16-years-old for internships and at least 18-years-old for full-time positions

What does working with BASIC look like?

Well, that depends on your background and what you enjoy! Some of the things you could be doing are:
  • Receive training on discipleship, evangelism, speaking, and raising support through an extensive internship course
  • Plant a BASIC group on a campus where no prior group has existed with the help of a local church
  • Visit campus groups to lead worship and minister to students
  • Plan conferences, evangelistic events, retreats, and leadership summits
  • Assist with graphic arts and website design & maintenance
  • Interact with other high-impact ministries like Campus Target
  • Make friends and develop life-long relationships

Why college ministry?

Targeting college students is a high-impact, strategic decision. College students play an integral part in shaping the future. Most major religious and political movements start on university campuses. Statistics show the probability that a person will give his or her life to Christ after the age of 21 drops dramatically.

For many people, this is a last-stop experience to find Christ and get discipled before hurtling into life with misguided beliefs. By working with BASIC, you will make an enduring difference in people’s lives and the Kingdom of God.
