Curious about Christ?

So what's the big deal about Jesus Christ, anyways?

You may be curious about this man--as a skeptic, an atheist, or someone brought up in a Christian home and expected to be a good boy or girl and follow Jesus. Your curiosity makes sense. I mean, no other man has affected the last 2000 years like he did. People killed Him. Millions have died for Him. And billions of people claim to have found peace by finding a relationship with God through Him. The highest grossing "R-rated" movie is about Him. Even people who know nothing about Him use His name as a curse word.If He is who He said He was, there are profound impli- cations. Everything would change.

But your curiosity is important. If what Jesus said is right...if He is who He said He was...there are profound implications. Everything would change. How you spend your time, who you vote for, where you spend eternity would be affected. If it's not true...well, that's scary, too, for all who are willing to lay down their lives for Him.

But one thing is certain: Jesus and His life message should at least be considered by everyone who hears of Him.

Unfortunately, most people get their information from third- and fourth-party sources. Just watch a special on the History Channel and you'll see how often historians disagree.

I hope you will rely more on the first-party, eyewitness accounts of His life, death, and resurrection. These can be found in the books Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible.

So don't put off your search for truth. Everything depends on it. And it will change your life in ways you never imagined.
